American Modernist (early-mid 20th century), regionalism oil on canvas painting of vase, potted plant, pear, and books stacked on a side table, unsigned. Inscribed on the back in pencil as a gift (presumably by the artist) in Charleston, West Virginia and dated 1946. Canvas stretcher measures 20" x 16"; currently unframed.
PLEASE NOTE: Although this painting is an interesting example of the 1940s American Regionalism modern art movement, it has condition issues that make it unsuitable for inclusion in our regular inventory. This is why it can be yours for only $1.00, plus shipping.
If you are fond of 20th century still life paintings that do have any condition issues, see our Still Lifes collection.
